Fatal House Fire in Catonsville

On Monday 20, January, emergency officials responded to a call in the 400 block of Commonwealth Ave., 21228, Catonsville, where a one-alarm fire took place. Upon further investigation, responders discovered the body of a male individual at the scene. Police identified the man as Francisco J. Cabezas, 34. A comprehensive investigation is currently underway.

A 911 call was received at approximately 6:59 p.m. from an occupant who discovered the fire. It took Baltimore County Fire Department personnel approximately 8 minutes to secure the scene. Once the fire was extinguished, Mr. Cabezas was located inside the affected area. His body was transported to a nearby medical center to determine the exact cause of death.
