Keith S. Franz recently presented at two seminars held by the National Center for Victims of Crime.

The Civil Justice for Victims of Crime seminar series explores how victims of crime can use civil lawsuits to obtain justice, hold responsible parties accountable, and obtain the financial resources they need to rebuild their lives.  The seminars are tailored to the laws of each state and cover crime topics including:

• Sexual assault
• Domestic Violence
• Stalking
• Child sex abuse
• Drunk driving
• Homicide
• Workplace violence
• Terrorism
• Elder abuse
• Identity theft
• Financial and property crimes

The Civil Justice for Victims of Crime seminars are open to victim advocates, healthcare service providers, social workers, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, policy makers, probation and parole officers, and crime victims.

The Washington D.C. Seminar was held on Wednesday, October 9th from from 9:00 a.m. – 4:40 p.m. at the Public Welfare Foundation at 1200 U Street, NW. The Maryland Seminar was held on Friday, October 11th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:40 p.m. at the James N. Robey Public Safety Training Center at 2200 Scott Wheeler Drive in Marriottsville, Maryland.
