Three-Year-Old Girl Injured in Hit-and-Run in Middle River, Maryland

On August 5th at approximately 6:10 p.m., a man driving a white Hyundai Elantra in the unit block of Right Wing Drive in Middle River struck a three-year-old girl, who allegedly ran into the road from between parked cars. Witnesses stated that the driver, who was described as white and in his 30s, initially stopped, claimed he hadn’t seen the girl and then fled the scene shortly thereafter.

Police located the driver later that evening when residents reported his vehicle parked in a local neighborhood. His identity has not been made known at this time and it is currently unclear whether charges are pending against him.

The three-year-old girl was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. She has a suspected broken leg, but it is believed that she will survive.
